Second AE lesson complete and I did some housekeeping (moving recipes from online spaces to my Evernote). Probably going to play 7 Days To Die for the next 30 mins.

Upstairs and bathrooms done, cat medicated and now I am reviewing the next AE lesson before moving on to Spanish (which I can do half of because I'll be on a treadmill later)

One AE lesson done; clothes away and clothes in wash. Moving on to the bathroom next.

Today I have to be productive so it's broken down into hour slots:
- Aftereffects course
- put away clothes, start wash & clean bathroom
- Spanish lesson
- meal prep
- lunch
- music (piano and clarinet) + nap
- gym

Saturday morning pain in my ass. No warranties.

Did a lot of cooking today. Lentil curry for lunchs - made about 10 one-cup bags, breakfast protein brownies (these are in a raw stage) and I made a very good shrimp and grits only to fail at the end by not chopping up the parsley enough.

but goddammit, I like my wife and my homelife and I want to sit on the couch today.

but that's also why, as a supervisor, I will prob get thrown under the bus because they don't see the three water issues we did catch and mitigate (I was in a 2 am last Tuesday after staying late for one last Monday) but the one that will happen when no one is there.

and a bunch of us almost hit 60 last week. How much free time are we supposed to sacrifice for a building that is just a number to the building management company and some investors far away.

There's definitely a chance that I won't have a job after today if something goes castastrophically wrong at my building but three out of five of us are in the 60-hour range and one is a millenial who won't do over time (despite making +$45 an hour to sit there). The fifth is doing an xtra 8 today..

Sometimes it feels like the NFT and blockchain grifts that preceded the rise of AI was a testing ground for talking points. It's all stuff we've heard before.

Genuinely happy that something like "Iron Lung" is a hit because it should inspire others to find solid premises for low-cost film making. The other part of me remembers when Pulp Fiction hit and overnight everyone i know wanted to make "Pulp Fiction but with..."

i am physically drained from my cat's death this weekend and the sorrow i feel that my wife has to go through her day with constant reminders that he's gone is immense. anyone who wants to talk about injustice or the cruelty of others at me will be asked if they want money for a gun or ammunition.

Cinnamon died this morning of a seizure or stroke at 3 am. I was on the couch nearby and I rushed to him but he was gone. I am gutted and I am sitting at work now wondering why I ever cared about this stupid place. I only know that I have a him-shaped hold in my heart that can't be filled.

I have a lot of older boardgames from Avalon Hill and Victory Games. I've been getting rid of a lot of them, but the ones that stay I condensed down into bags and cut the boxes. The ones that are worth a lot I'll keep the boxes but MBT is pretty common.

Actually have another two-day weekend and I put it to use shoveling walks, doing wash, studying, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom and figuring out what I need to replace the rollers on our dryer.
