I think it's safe to assume that Microsoft's AI isn't going to create Skynet given the design suggestions from PowerPoint. I can't tell which is a worse suggestion, Mount Rushmore or a Saturn V rocket.

Made it to SMH and took my book and my editor @bethanywasik.bsky.social on an excursion to the USS Alabama. This is how one does military history, yes?

Fun fact: Recently published #Battlegrounds books love being out in the wild! On battleships! They're also great fans of your bookshelves. Find out how to introduce them all at the @cornellupress.bsky.social #SMH2025 virtual booth with 40% off (09EXP40): www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/our-smh-2025...

I have loved my time in the History Department at LSU, but it has been physically, emotionally, and financially too taxing to be based 1,500 miles away from my elderly and increasingly frail father, who I help to care for. Being in New Hampshire will significantly lessen those burdens.
