I'm sure they've been sold a "vision" or a "project", but what does that matter to you if you just want to play football? And how do you build a project if it's just a revolving door of splashy signings?
Already seen a very solid WSL player in Katie Zelem have to leave 6 months after arriving due to lack of minutes. Massive signing like Geyoro in and out of the team. How is a recruitment policy like this sustainable? Who'll really want to go and play there, young, established or otherwise?
Been thinking about this a bit more this morning and it's just the very pinnacle of LCL's recruitment policy. Three aging (all younger than me mind π) former megastars who are all still quality, but where does it leave the promising younger talents in those positions, like Lete, Godfrey & SangarΓ©?
Earps to LCL is almost too obvious to be believable
This is the kind of petty analysis I live for. No skin in this game other than I generally can't stand managers moaning about the other team rather than taking account for their own performance.
Think he did get booked in the end they were showing the replay when he did.

Giving Clare Wheeler her flowers; one of the WSL's most under-the-radar consistent performers and POTM for the Matilda's Asian Cup opener.
Switching the wingers made a big difference here
I am nearly asleep
Bit of a head scratcher. Player like Jess Park who can create something out of nothing and she's just sort of playing a bit part at the moment. I don't think she's carried the ball once?
Credit to Ukraine for staying compact and defending well, but England need to start taking some risks. 85% possession with 4 shots on target. Feels like a passing drill rather than a game of football at the moment.

More of that please Hempo.
I'm going to need someone other than Wubben-Moy to try something audacious/creative or I will simply fall asleep
Somebody shoot?
Side note: I thought I was losing my mind as I was sure Greenwood was in the squad this camp and I must've missed something. She was, but has a "minor muscle injury".
Nice to see Wubben-Moy get a start as well. I may be wrong but I don't think this backline has played together for England before, but you've got three from the same club and they're all solid, consistent performers so I'm chill with it.
Not to say Greenwood isn't good there, and the waters are certainly muddied perhaps by her playing more regularly there for City of later, I personally would prefer to have her at CB.
Obviously LB is a position very much up for debate at the moment, but I think Hinds feels like the most logical candidate even when Greenwood is available.
Actually, it might be the other way round.
I also fell into this trap. I was thinking there's no way you should have a soft cheese in a double pivot with Halloumi, which doesn't feel robust enough. But going by names Halloumi is 100% the midfield battler/enforcer while Camembert is bringing the flair.
Clare Wheeler masterclass in the first half against the Philippines. Matt in dreamland.
Will never not have love for Lize Kop
Shit me that's beautiful from Fernandez
I am! ππ»ββοΈ
I do think someone needs to tell Spurs that they don't need to play every minute of every game with the pace and energy of a cocker spaniel puppy. It's very entertaining, but it's a high wire act.
Olsson 100% handball on the second goal as well. Another fun day of officiating in the women's game. π
