@istio.io collects metrics automatically but your app still needs to forward the tracing headers. x-b3-traceid, x-request-id, all of them. istio can't magically connect requests across services without those headers.
Thats so cool!!
In simple words if I have to say about service mesh then I would say "let infrastructure handle communication, so developers focus on business logic."

KEDA scales your pods based on events, Karpenter provisions nodes to fit them. queue surge hits → KEDA spins up 20 replicas → Karpenter adds nodes so they actually run. they are not competing, they complement each other.
