Let's get to work!
We put together a letter campaign to remind Sound Transit and elected officials how important it is to keep light rail to West Seattle on track.
If you live in, work in, or visit West Seattle, please send an email 💪✨ we made it quick and easy!

Wow, good tip, I had no idea. Thanks Jeremy!
As usual, Rep Reed gets the goods!
What is this all about?? Let me try to explain. It's important, because it's actually about @seasocialhousing.bsky.social and it's about Alzheimer's and heart disease and asthma, and rich homeowners keeping you sick and housing rare and unaffordable. And what you can do about it THIS MONTH.
Out of curiosity, how did you make your way from the waterfront to Seattle Center? With all the changes I feel like I don't know the best way anymore.
Hilariously, this timetable means that it will be faster for me to get from Alaska Junction to SEA at 3 AM than at 11 AM.
(50 to SODO runs 24h, and the 570 between SODO and SEA is 5 minutes faster than Link)
Blame the at-grade section I suppose.
Vehicle speed survey filled out by hand. It shows most vehicles exceeding the 25 MPH speed limit, with some reaching 42 MPH.
Here's a speed survey I did there over half an hour in 2024.
Oregon & 39th or Oregon & 40th. Lots of speeders along Oregon between Fauntleroy & California.
It's not a done deal. Write them! bsky.app/profile/ravr...
Please write to them this weekend! It takes just a minute. Here's what I wrote:

I'm proud to support Erica's work with a recurring donation. I encourage you to do so too!
That's my representative!! Thank you Rep Thomas.
If our "environmental protection" frameworks can stop an affordable housing project but can't stop a detention center or a highway expansion we really need to start talk about ripping things up root and branch.
Mayor Wilson, this plan actually goes backwards compared to October 2024, downzoning predominantly wealthier, more exclusive neighborhoods, like mine in West Seattle.
Instead, we need to allow dramatically more homes in these areas, including West Seattle.

Here's what I wrote. You can do so too!
Please take a minute to email your opposition to SB 5609!

If it helps, I have found @transit.app does a better job than Google or Apple offering safer routing. This may be because it is based on OSM data.
The dispatcher always says they'll send enforcement, but I'm often reporting while I'm on my way somewhere else. So, I haven't confirmed that an after-hours ticket was issued yet.
I have had some luck calling things like this in. (206) 625-5011, wait about 45 seconds, option 8 then option 1. I have seen vehicles ticketed after I've called.

In other words, sec. 3 means that recipients of misleading electronic messages can no longer benefit under RCW 19.86, the consumer protection act. (also bad for recipients)
…receiving, reviewing, and detrimentally relying upon the message. (bad for recipients)
Sec. 3 of the bill says that RCW 19.190.100 (which says "violations in this chapter are unfair or deceptive practices") no longer applies to RCW 19.190.020, the section about misleading electronic messages. …
Definitely not a lawyer but I actually think this *weakens* existing protections on net.
Sec. 1 of the bill lowers the standard for a subject line to be considered misleading (good for recipients)
However, Sec. 2 *raises* the standard for damages, from simply receiving the misleading message, to…
The Urbanist's view is that it is to avoid upsetting CMs, like Saka, who would view being removed as chair as punishment.
Of course. Operated like a stethoscope, with small speakers built in to the armrest.
