Expensive repairs have pushed EV insurance costs up. Thatcham Research has unveiled a Blueprint manufacturers can use to ensure vehicle designs keep the prices down. I visited the company's facility in... Thatcham.

The MG ZS EV was the first great value mainstream electric car to hit the UK. I took its successor, the MGS5 EV, for a spin to find out if it could continue the tradition.

I hope so too. I've followed the Neue Klasse development for years now and my expectations are high. If it's good, with that range, and a not too hideous price (for a Beamer) it could be a real gamechanger.
Better hurry up then...
Are we still talking about the Caterham or the iX3? I'm driving the latter a week on Monday. Not sure when I'll get to drive the former. Hopefully soon! I'm not a track god, though, so not an expert on sports handling. Just done quite a few track days.
Love the idea and spec. Would have to drive to be sure.
I think unfortunately CFD and the need for efficiency has led car shapes toward a common solution to the problem.
I'd rather have an i3 Touring but there ain't one. Never actually owned an SUV yet but it's increasingly hard not to if you need boot space.
I would happily own the new BMW iX3. Well, let me absolutely confirm that in 9 days when I've had a chance to drive one.
All Chinese companies have some CCP connection but some a lot more than others. Geely isn't very CCP. XPENG not much either.
Teslas are made in China... and from what I gathered when the UK started getting imports from China rather than the US, better made in China!
Tesla? Have we talked about this before?
Some of the Chinese do...
Or just basic poor money sense!
Story of my life...
I still like it. Lots of fun to drive!
Junior?
The e-C5 is not that big. Citroen’s e-C3 is great - hence the decent sales.
They just seemed to be getting back on track. The Citroen e-C5 Aircross is quite good too.
Love this. Hilarious!
Stellantis appears to be combatting its sluggish electric sales with a reemphasis on diesel models, just when it looks like 2026 could be the European EV tipping point.

My son William and I will be swimming for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie on the 22nd March. I'm aiming for 2.5km and William for 5km.

Sultana is a classic case in point. No wonder she has joined forces with Corbyn.
The left of the Labour Party will hand us a Reform government just like they handed us a Johnson one.
Ford and Stellantis didn’t make good enough EVs, that’s why they are running scared of them.
That's a bit vague. Which industry has a "traditional negative effect"? The auto industry in general, with its reliance on combustion, has had a huge impact on the environment, and ongoing. Or was that not what you meant?
The UK punches above its weight in applying AI to solve automotive manufacturing problems. Could this give the country an edge again in this important industrial sector? Latest piece for @forbes.com

The Flint Engineering IsoMat's innovative heat pipe technology could have wide benefits when used to help cool EV battery packs, from increased range to longevity. My latest piece for @forbes.com.
