Thank you.
@tomsbrown
Illustrator, performer, walker of the hills at dusk, lunatic. I get paper dirty professionally. As it is said in Hookland, Re-enchantment is resistance. Pro EU, passionately anti fascist. https://thomassbrown.com/
Thank you.
And then you come to your senses.
Excellent!
Thinking of making illustrated (bordered) spell-paper stationary for witches-pagans, four designs seasonally based. You like?
Have a lot of paper based projects in development. Some including paper engineering of a sort, and paper plus...things.
Just *look* what you did!
!!!
Right. So that's a "no"(after much consideration, which is something) from an agent and a yes from a game company in Norway who really loved the style, so, on balance, good enough.
Huge news for people who like good things.
A border of twisted trees witches, cats, bottles, a vulture and (if you squint a bit) a snake. Pencil drawing with colour applied.
Witches *and* cats.
That's pretty much everything, really.
Fiddler for a morris side (Border, naturally) who also happens to be a cat. A bemused moon looks on, all decorated with ribbons and bells. Pencil drawing with colour applied.
Good afternoon.
Seems quite obvious ( if less dramatic )
A very good night to @hookland.bsky.social and goodnight to us all.
So, you come by it honestly then.
You must be proud!
That never works for me, oddly enough.
I'm glad you are still with us, though.
My publisher.
This.
AND with ocd!
A belly-to-back suplex is absolutely the right choice for this as it allows you to see the ridiculous pointy hood get absolutely crushed moments before they slam into the ground. I guess a piledriver would also work in that regard, but suplexes are cooler imo ๐
All wise children in Hookland know that the gauge doesn't just measure the river at flood and drought, but tell you whether the brook is deep enough for Stay Belows to swim. โ Stella Fleet #VOH

Screenshot of a book cover showing an illustration of a crow perched on an "ICE" jacket lying in the middle of a snow-lined road under the light of a full moon. The cover reads "ICE Out " by Charles de Lint. Text to the right of the cover reads "ICE came to Newford. Big mistake." and "Download for free!"
Urban fantasy author Charles de Lint just published a new "novelet" and released it for free, his stories of myth and magic and community and found family are full of so much love and hope and we could all use some of that right now

Why does this artist not have a million and seven followers?!
That is almost exactly what I said.
Oh, absolutely!!
I'm going to have the opportunity to illustrate that in 2027.
Points to you!!!
well it's #worldbookday really, but this was before coffee.
You know what's going to happen, don't you?
Five gigs are going to come in all at once.
I will *not* complain.
And, for World Book Day, an illustrator in love with books.
really. A lot.

Done.
And on the theme of books standing between us and the abyss.
