We’re back with more Calcio nonsense - happily recorded before Udinese battered Fiorentina linktr.ee/Rigore
@rigorepod
A weekly podcast from two Scottish-Italian cousins who support Fiorentina and Venezia, taking an irreverent look at Italian football - and aiming some potshots at the traditional giants along the way! https://linktr.ee/rigore
We’re back with more Calcio nonsense - happily recorded before Udinese battered Fiorentina linktr.ee/Rigore
Are Inter already champions? Certainly looks that way. Things aren't so clear at the bottom of Serie A, however, as Fiorentina scrape a vital win. In Serie B, Venezia continue at the top, but not without a few scares v Pescara. Plus, why are Serie A teams so poor in Europe?

Slightly abbreviated episode as we recorded on Sunday before a few games were played - suspect @ginkers.bsky.social mood darkened after other results... But hey - Venezia win their top of yje table clash!

The capolista edition of the @rigorepod.bsky.social is out now. Hear Marco at the happiest he’s ever been. Don’t worry, though, I’m still grumpy linktr.ee/Rigore
On today's episode: VENEZIA ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
(Plus we chat about some unimportant Serie A stuff)

This week we do that rarest of things (for us) - we praise Como (sort of...!) Plus, Fiorentina slip again, while Venezia can't stop scoring. And should Verratti come back for Italy? You know our answer, whatever it is, will be the wrong one!
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
It's strange times at Rigore Towers as there is an air of celebration and happiness with both Fiorentina and Venezia winning... Surely it can't last??

The latest Rigore! podcast is out, please share. A lot of coaches losing the plot this weekend and Venezia most serenely keep moving up the Serie B table linktr.ee/rigore
Short answer - no! There was a page we found on lega calcio's website last season that stated when fixtures would be confirmed, but it is very difficult to find info you need on that site in our experience!
Our first pod of 2026 is surprisingly hopeful as Fiorentina win again (just!) and Venezia enjoyed a festive break on a fine run of form. Plus - red cards aplenty in Rome, Inter and Milan both win and more...
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
A joyful Christmas episode as Fiorentina finally win, while Venezia win their second top-of-the-table clash in a row. Buon Natale all!
linktr.ee/rigore
Fiorentina sink even lower, Milan struggle again against the 'smaller' teams, Napoli lose - but Venezia put in a commanding performance against Monza, so at least one half of the pod is happy, while the other is deep in despair...
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Fiorentina sink to new lows, Napoli beat Juve, and Venezia frustrated by Avellino... It's another misery-packed episode 😂
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Two laughing men, one pointing at the Venezia FC logo on a Venezia football scarf around the other's neck
An in-person Rigore catch-up last night - finally made @ginkers.bsky.social support a proper team...
Was it a penalty? No. Was it a classic Italian refereeing farce? Yes. We discuss the end of Milan-Lazio, plus Fiorentina get worse and Venezia get better.
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Venezia win the Venetian derby, Fiorentina just about climb off the bottom of the table. Plus - we ask if it might better in the long term if Italy didn't qualify for the World Cup...
Listen to the latest episode now: linktr.ee/rigore
That result is one of the biggest embarrassments I can remember in 4 decades of supporting Italy. Gattuso is shit, but truth is we don't have enough good players, and that's down to years of neglect from the FIGC. I'd prefer us not to win the playoffs and see a proper revolution at the top
#Azzurri
This week we discuss the return of Vanoli - not to Venezia, but to the Viola! But no victory for them - yet. Meanwhile, Inter and Roma go top, while Conte's second season strife hits full stride. Plus, Venezia do win!
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Listen to me wallow in self pity
It's pretty much just a Viola misery show this week as @ginkers.bsky.social tries to turn every story into one involving Fiorentina's worst start to a season in history...
(We do try and talk about other stuff as well 😂)
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Late goals deliver different fortunes for Fiorentina and Venezia, while the Serie A race hots up. Plus VAR chat (of course) and a hot off the press sacking at Juve...
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Viola rage at VAR! Como are good (funny what money can do!) Inter growing stronger. And Venezia dominate but could a weak attack be their undoing? All this and more on this week's pod!
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
Picture of Como chairman with headline: Ma quale miracolo Como: Messi dagli Hartono finorq 390 milioni (But what Como miracle: The Hartonos have spent 390 million so far)
Glad to see that some of the nonsense written about Como is finally falling away. There is no miracle - they just have the richest owners in the league.
(Which, fair play - but it's the acting like they're a small club on a miracle run that grates)

On this week's episode we are celebrating that rarest of things - a correct prediction from Rigore! Plus - a grumpy @ginkers.bsky.social after yet another sub-par Fiorentina performance and a slightly happier @marcorinaldi.bsky.social as Venezia beat Spezia.
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
A fun episode this week (and I apologise to any Milan fans for my prediction)
Red cards, VAR mistakes, Fiorentina and Venezia lose, ill-informed predictions - what more could a Rigore listener want?
All that and more in today's episode: linktr.ee/rigore
A Derby d'Italia to remember, Allegri's first red card of the season, and a Venezia side who seem to have a worrying habit of taking their foot off the gas. Plus Rino makes Italy into the very essence of his famous "sometimes good, sometimes shit" quote.
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
New episode out as we look at Cremonese's fine start, wonder about Inter's title credentials, bemoan a lack of goals for Fiorentina and Venezia, and discuss Gattuso's first Italy squad (Marco manages a rant even while being barely able to talk)
Listen now: linktr.ee/rigore
We're back! Looking at a decent start for 2 of the 3 promoted teams (and Milan's struggles continuing), Fiorentina being denied victory at the last minute, and a decent start for Venezia (Daniel Fila is still crap though)
