They had 2 American on their roster who were overseas hooper vets. We got to hang for a bit, and they told me it was by far their favorite place to play. They specifically mentioned the people and the food.
This is an obvious statement. But I mean it. When I was playing 🏀 in Hungary, we had a game against a team from Iran, and I remember people from back home being like “whaaat?!”

I only ever went to places my teammates took me: Elements, Lazy Lizard, Chickin Bones… Spots that welcomed underaged basketball players.

Listen, I’m happy for Pittsnogle. But also, in college I remember asking him what he was gonna do if basketball didn’t work out and his response was “I don’t know, probably become a professional bowler.” He was dead serious. And big part of me wishes we could experience that outcome too.
