I’m not usually one for handhelds, but if it works like the Switch, then I’ll pick one up for sure. It’s nice to have the option. It might help me get some extra time on those old RPGs.

It’s coming. I know this because I recently completed the trilogy on Mister, and that’s usually the trigger. This happened with Lunar, Suikoden, and Rocket Knight. Might’ve been a couple others too.
That’s remarkable for them. They usually turn things to shit relatively quickly. They’re very bad at what they do. The best thing they can do is nothing at all, but as soon as the numbers aren’t to their looking, they do things.

Agreed. Unless Round One gets them, I’m not gonna see these cabinets for years. Even if R1 gets them, I haven’t been to one for years since moving. My nearest is an hour away by car.
I would love to try these eXa-Arcadia cabinets. I understand that it’s different when they can control every aspect of the cabinet, but I wish other companies would prioritize responsive controls. 0.3 frames/5ms is beautiful!
I just tried the Amiga on Mister. While folks who were gaming on it back in the day seem quite fond of it, I can’t imagine being very happy having paid the equivalent of $2K for it. Even Turrican II (AGA), my reason for wanting to try it, just didn’t do anything for me.

I have the Pocket & Dock. It’s nice, but: The dock adds 2P support for some cores, but you want 2 of the same controller bc separate mappings go funny IME. Great filters, 1080p. Looks great on my 4K w/no scaler. DAC support MIA. Only buy if GB is really important to you. Otherwise, go Mister.
sooo the claim that it takes 5-6 months for a human to translate a manga is bullshit.
It only takes me a few days--then ideally I wait a few days to reread the translation with a fresh mind and fix any errors and tweak the wording. So like, a week total. For quality, human work.
Also, I kind of hate Pokémon. It’s right up there with Madden for me in the pantheon of mediocre game series that get love and money so far beyond anything deserved.
Right idea; wrong price. Get back to this Virtual Console approach, but max out at $12. Look at what you get for less with a Sega Ages release. Get some good will along w/the revenue, & increase the volume of sales. That’s gonna lead to loyalty, impulse purchases, and eventually, increased revenue.

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.
Just a heads-up for others not using Prime: shipping is $6, and signing in with Amazon and exceeding $35 doesn’t change that.
I recommend a 12.7” tablet for reading comics. It makes a hell of a difference.
