So naturally everyone who knows how this all works is dismissing the idea of a Reform-led gov.
BUT. Everyone also seems to be forgetting that on these numbers, Labour would have to deliberately vote in a Plaid Gov. Abstaining wouldn’t cut it.
Can’t see that going down well internally..
Been a load of chat over these polls of late. If the numbers don’t change, Reform will be the largest party in the next Senedd, sure.
However, unless theres a major shift they’ll find it almost impossible to set up a functioning gov. They wouldn’t have the support to get anything through.
The ancient history one stung for me given I have a BA in it (admittedly from Swansea but I digress). People always say it's a useless degree and you should do modern instead. Yet there are so many who will fabricate things from antiquity to fit their worldview - case in point last week.
So much (but thankfully not all) of the reaction to the Vivienne’s passing has just gone to show the fact that to some people in this world, queer people like myself will always be seen as undeserving and alien.
Even in death, we’re not granted grace.
I lost my father this week. It’s been, well, I can’t really put it into words.
It’s also put some things into perspective. I need to make more time for family. I need to be sure to live whilst I can, Dad retired at 69 and passed at 73. Sitting in the house waiting for sunnier days won’t do anymore.
