I thought it was time to refresh my website and reflect on the projects I've been a part of. It is now home to some interesting insights from developing our games at Ground Shatter, and it's had a fresh lick of paint to boot! www.jamesvigor.co.uk
Finished Clair Obscur last night and wow, what a fascinating game! I've never seen a game keep its core narrative so close to its chest while also wearing it on its sleeve from the very start. I know I'm going to be processing its themes for a long time. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it half as much.
Looks like a solid 7.8. π
I'm claiming my @mobygames.com profile. Don't mind this post, I'm just providing evidence for them. :) www.mobygames.com/person/14200...
This is the single best thing Unity has done in years.
Incidentally I've heard their pricing in those ads so many times, that it really stands out to me that all their pizzas were recently put up by Β£2. So even worse.
Not sure what genius at Domino's thought it was a good idea for every single YouTube video to tell me they charge Β£10 for a small pizza. Like I'm going to hear that and go 'What a bargain!'
Well you picked some good ones! Looks like a success to me. Good work :D
A good reminder that I should be doing this more. How selective are you with your models? Do you take whatever comes up or skip through until something inspires you?
I still haven't finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 but I can say with confidence that it's an absolute masterpiece of creativity. Art, music, story, tone - all extraordinary.
That said, why do these characters not ask any questions? They should be interrogating each other every night!
I can't believe we're going to get a new Fable game and Half-Life 3 in the same year!
I've been taking art classes for a few months to shore up my grasp on the fundamentals and refine my work into something I can be really proud of. So far this year, we're focusing on just finding the fun in drawing, and I have to say, I really have been having fun. π

Yes, we did release new DLC just last month. No, we are not done!! π»
Introducing our upcoming DLC:
FRIGHTS IN TIGHT SPACES πΉ
Lurking in a sinister manor house, an ancient evil thirsts for a sacrifice. Horrors and otherworldly threats stand between you and your objective.

I really hope this era we've entered, where opening a game involves waiting 10 minutes for shaders to compile, is a short one. π
Fitbit's movement reminders have absolutely no respect for whether there's a cat sleeping on my lap or not.
If we're bidding, I'll do it for $20 and some Hot Wheels.
We're giving you something you didn't know you wanted. Agent K has been fantastic to develop. He's a very good boy and can run wherever you need him to be at any time. Fill your deck with pets and treats - he deserves it!
Missed opportunity to say it was blubbering.
Barely speaking is still pretty good for a whale. Especially since it was so emotional.
The art style also really lets Link down. If there's any emotion in his face, it's impossible to see. I've heard people say the style is literally perfect and cannot be improved. To that I say, compare his in-game look to the promo art of the very same game, and tell me which looks better.
Perhaps the gravest sin of Zelda's Wilds era is making Link boring. Next to no reaction in even the most powerful scenes. Not so much as a cocky smirk, or a wistful sigh in the presence of his loves. He looks completely dead inside.
Please, let Link smile.
I've learned my lesson about asking for audio advice on Reddit. Apparently if you, as a novice, don't realise you're slightly beyond the scope of what the subreddit is for, the mods will breakdown your door like you've been screaming racial slurs. Why did I ever think Reddit might be a good idea? π
Do you like escape rooms?
My girlfriend is running a survey and wants to hear your thoughts on them. If you've got a minute or two to spare, we'd really appreciate you filling it out. Thanks! forms.gle/8AatsAr5pFGz...
