A great post on how Christians can and should engage with political and social issues:

#Easter Week questions:
If #Jesus is #God, did God die on #GoodFriday?
Jesus announced, 'It is finished,' before he died. So why did he go on to actually die?
I explore the answers by asking:
What does Christ's #crucifixion tell us about the nature of #hell?

A really excellent article. Well-reasoned and persuasive. Thanks so much @sandraglahn.bsky.social
Why did I write my recent post?
Because following dreadful floods, wildfires, pandemics, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis, Christians prophesy using those natural disasters as metaphors promising that God is going to break into history β at least into our history β for blessing. Weird.
Why do Christians use natural catastrophes as evidence that God wants to bless people?
I say: "Disasters are not and can never be metaphors for blessing."
Can anyone show me from Scripture that this statement is false? Iβd like to hear from you!

Hope and pray Justin is right. I love his book and Podcast. I am convinced there is a rebirth of faith in Christ among public intellectuals - but how much farther does it reach? Christ have mercy.

Great to see that a respected and evangelical Bible scholar like Ian Paul is also convinced that #Annihilationism fits best with what the Bible says.
