Not to mention his completely tone deaf comment that it only took him a few months to pay off his loans because βhe worked.β
As if there wasnβt an exponential cost of living increase since his graduation days and that youth unemployment is the highest itβs been in part due to his govβs fault.
Conservative Windsor MPP says they have to cut OSAP or else theyβll βrun out of money.β
Next day Ford is announcing an artificial island.
βNo you donβt understand, if we donβt cut OSAP we canβt build the artificial island!!β
Please Iβm so painfully single
Get you a man who can do both
It entertains me so much the variety of your posts. Some are pure shitposting and then you have these that sound like media releases from a transit think tank
Highest compliment Iβve ever received
π¨π¦ Bike infrastructure is a low cost, high impact solution for housing & health. But $500M in federal funding is now at risk.
If approvals aren't issued now, we lose the 2026 construction season.

Glad to see Metrolinx reducing reliance on expensive third party consultants and building more in-house expertise!
If Ontario is going to spend $70 billion to build out βthe largest transit expansion in North America,β we must build the institutional knowledge to do so effectively & efficiently.

No thatβs a different meme, thereβs only two seasons in Canada: winter and construction

β¦due to increased staffing per councillor. Amalgamation is often not in the interest of the people but is provincial directed with other interests in mind.
@jeffhurst.bsky.social spells it all out concisely here:
Thank you for your email. I appreciate your perspective and comments regarding governance in Niagara. I have and am reviewing all information being shared with me. I would like to see if there is a middle ground as I am getting emails that have differing opinions on how to move forward. The status quo is not working and some change is required. It is clear to me that there is a strong belief that there are too many politicians and that Regional taxes are too high. I have had discussions with the Regional Chair and others to find a resolution that would begin to address these issues in order to identify a viable path forward. Sincerely, Frank Campion MAYOR Office of the Mayor 60 East Main Street, Welland, Ontario L3B 3X4
My friend in Welland wrote to his mayor against Niagara amalgamation & this was the response
Already spewing myths that have dispelledβcouncillor salaries take up a fraction of a % of municipal costs. Itβs actually been shown sometimes that larger wards/municipalities can cost the same or moreβ¦ 1/2
Between this and naming TBMs, possibly naming stations, is the extent the public has easy access to policy change ππ
I love the extent of western participatory democracy ππ
