Canβt talk to you without talking to me
Weβre guilty of the same old things
Thinking a lot about less and less
And forgetting the love we bring
A still photo of Alexis Rose on Schittβs Creek (played by Annie Murphy) with a confused, bewildered expression on her face. The caption reads: βMy reaction to pretty much everything these days.β
βThe church must not simply bandage the victims under the wheel, but jam a spoke in the wheel itself.β - Dietrich Bonhoeffer Bonhoeffer wrote these words as the Nazi regime began reshaping Christianity to serve the state. He believed Christians must do more than care for those harmed by injustice. The church must confront and resist the systems and ideologies that create the suffering in the first place. Rev. Tim Dyer

βHe's freaking delicious. He carries a woman's bag, like a side bag, that I'm sort of obsessed with. He's like, so masculine yet carries this female bag. And he looks divine and I'm like, βDo I need that bag?ββ Matthew Lillard on his Jacob Elordi obsession

Rev. Benjamin Cremer @Brcremer When you insist on seeing God in the face of the emperor, no matter how corrupt they are, and refuse to see God in the face of the immigrant being arrested after being falsely accused of being a criminal, you have yet to understand the gospel of Jesus.

My childhood and young adulthood were filled with paperbacks of this size. Yes, the larger trade-size paperbacks are easier for me to read in the autumn of my life, but I am going to miss the mass-market paperbacks of my youth.

I was so young and naive 10 minutes ago. Ah, youth.
This afternoon Althea the Cat looked at me like I had descended into madness, which is always a possibility, and convinced me through feline telepathy that I should abandon my search for this phantom book and give her some Savory Seafood cat treats.
The dream is always sharp and vivid, and it haunts me in my waking life for days afterward. I find myself googling possible pen names I might have used for the book.
Once in a blue moon I have this recurring dream that I wrote a book in my undergrad college years, then suppressed the memory of writing it. In the dream I discover the book, realize I wrote it, and read it, and itβs like Iβm reading the book for the first time, even though I wrote it. (continued)
Working at the home office today, while Althea the Cat keeps an eye on the neighborhood.
A scene from the classic TV series Twin Peaks. Agent Dale Cooper, played by actor Kyle MacLachlan, is driving a car and speaking into a Dictaphone recorder: βDiane, 11:30 am, February 24th. I'm entering the town of Twin Peaks.β
I recall your darkness
When it crackled like a thundercloud
Donβt tell me this town ainβt got no heart
When I can hear it beat out loud
