There are certain mechanisms that commonly cause certain injuries, but even actual physios and doctors are only making educated guesses based on footage. Need hands on tests and imaging. It helps nothing and is kind of irresponsible for the rest of us to speculate

That’s cause it’s not a great idea to try and diagnose injuries live in the stadium. probably best left for the medical personnel

My point is that screaming and leg holding and punching the turf means nothing so when someone is actively trying to push themselves further onto the pitch there’s no reason to believe they’re actually injured, let alone seriously

The supposed quality gap between the favourites and the rest isn’t so great that it covers them being absolutely exhausted in a backs to the wall situation

Eligibility changes have made it worse tho- it’s a better spread of talent and more interesting matchups, but at the cost of hollowing out the tier 1 nations and widening the quality gap between int and origin
