I took my grandmother's wedding dress (1939) and a woven coverlet (pre-Civil War) I scored for $40 on FB marketplace. I now know how to properly clean them (v. gentle vacuuming) & store them both. I'm really grateful the library had this program, otherwise I might've tried washing both (a bad idea).
I spent the morning at Thomas Balch Library learning about "Caring for Textile Heirlooms at Home" presented by two local conservators. The first part was a lecture & then they gave advice on some beautiful textiles the audience brought in. #textileCare #fiberArtist

When she was little, her ears were floppy and the breeder told us to feed he her pig ears to get them to stand up properly - it worked!
A Belgian Malinois (they look like German Shepherds with long necks and leaner bodies). Her face an neck are mostly black except her chin/muzzle , which at almost 3 is already turning white.
She's pretty upset by these Felon-in-chief shenanigans also. My constant companion and lead barker, though she does enjoy nibbling humans also. #dogs
