When I read this I think what good electoral system we have in Australia. In the USA voters could still vote for progressive independent like Stein and still give their preferences to a Democrat that while not perfect it would be better than the sociopath they have now.

Probably because It's not an invasion (yet) just airstrikes at this stage. So it was a different set of circumstances as Howard committed Australian soldiers in the operation,which was unpopular and the ALP opposed. I think Trump will not send troops as his MAGA base would never forgive him.
