A digital portrait drawing of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. it is black and white.
Sooo…..I’ve been MIA for several months (I doused myself in Eau de Depression), but here I am with this drawing of Ariel trying to get back into making art again.

ARTIST PROPAGANDA I'M NOT FALLING FOR: X Pulling all-nighters to make art proves you’re dedicated to your craft X True artists draw every single day X Only make friends with fellow artists cuz they’ll get you gigs someday X Freelancing is for artists who can't get a "real" studio job X Drawing fanart is cringe X Your portfolio should only have what studios want to see
Artist propaganda I’m not falling for (and you shouldn’t either):
A tattooed shirtless bass player. He's muscular with dark skin, and sports dreadlocks (with the sides of the head shaven) held in a ponytail.
Lead singer of the band who is called Rook. He has red shoulder length hair, with an option for him to wear it in a punk mohawk too. He wears an all black outfit with red tennis shoes. He also has a variety of tattoos all over his body.
Got the final character designs for the lead singer and bass player in PunkMaids done. I don't yet have a name for the shirtless hottie.
A futuristic cybernetic mermaid. Shehas a red semi transparent body, is bald, and is wearing a shinky silver armor over almost her entire body. She has spinal and head implants that emit red light in the shape of a halo, wings, and side fins on her tail.

a mirrored pair of mermaids: one is light and colorful, the other one is dark purple/black monochrome
Day 28 of #mermay: Gemini.
Might turn it into a cute animated loop.
my only work on AO3 is my Surana Warden's Harrowing from the start of Dragon Age: Origins, featuring art by @jadenite.bsky.social

If you see this, post a monster
Man I totally forgot to finalize this one.
It’s probably in the hundreds for me too.
A little girl with pigtails seen from behind as she’s sitting crosslegged on the floor. It is nightime and she is watching The Little Mermaid on vhs on an old school tv.
#mermay day 26: Memory.
I used to watch The Little Mermaid on vhs (dubbed in Italian) every day when I was little. I guess that explains a lot about me.
Betta Smaragdina Mermaid for Mermay 2025
This year there will be 6 new mermaids inspired by betta fish. Bettas are very popular among aquarium fish, there are more than 70 species and they are great for bright fantasy characters designs.

A drawing of Zatanna as a mermaid, with her lower fish half magically sectioned so that her fins are peeking through the inside of a top hat she's holding in her hand
#mermay Day 18: Abracadabra. Of course I thought of Zatanna for this one.
A silvery mermaid surrounded by an army of narwahls is leading them towards the surface to attack a ship that pollutes the water with oil leaks.
#mermay Day 14: Brave. I thought of a Joan of Arc-esque idea for this one.
A punk mermaid looking in a mirror and seeing a human version of herself
A mermaid in space
Kida from Disney’s Atlantis as a mermaid
A mermaid in a shell-shaped carriage drawn by a giant seahorse is getting a speeding ticket written by a guard mermaid
Hi! Congratulations on hitting 1K followers, that’s a big achievement, and I thank you for hosting this artshare!
As for me, I’m just a simple artist who enjoys drawing lots of mermaids.
You Are more than a Thousand! It's #artshare Time !
Thank you so Much For Being Here!

An child’s drawing, cca early 90s. It’s a mermaid with highlighter yellow hair and pink tail and top; there’s also a castle, stars, a carriage in the background, some trees, all very obviously colored with highlighter pens. an extra piece of paper (a cutout) of another blue tailed mermaid is next to the main drawing (this one colored with just regular pens).
The original drawing:
A pink mermaid in a purple seahorse-drawn carriage is stopped by a blue mermaid wearing a roman style helmet; the blue mermaid is writing something on her shell-pad (presumably a speeding ticket).
I have a theme combo today for #mermay: 11. Guard x 12. Redraw
What did I redraw you ask? A drawing that’s over 30 years old made by yours truly!

Look at her! It was a joy to draw her!

Skipping #mermay prompts this weekend and clearing my head with some random #doodles in a notebook.
Thank you very much! It is a truly excellent movie!
A drawing of Kida from Atlantis the Lost Empire as a mermaid.
It's #mermay time now. Day 8 theme is Atlantis. I was torn between the obvious choice (Kida) and evil hottie Helga, but Kida won out because I love her color scheme.
A mermaid version of Kiki from the eponymous Studio Ghibli animated feature, riding her broomstick and watching at a group of stingrays making their way through the water.
The reference screenshhot, in which Kiki is human and she's flying along on her broomstick as she watches a group of wild geese soaring in formation over some green fields.
I'm actually early this time with the #mermay prompt!
It's Myiazaki for day 7, and I chose to recreate the flying geese scene from Kiki'd Delivery Service, but as an underwater version :)

A colorful scene: A shirtless dude with short white hair and lots of tattoos has an ice cream cone in each hand and is handing one of them to a curvy mermaid in a wheelchair. The mermaid is bald, but has the spiky texture of a puffer fish on her head and shoulders. She wears a black latex corset and her overall color scheme is light pink with hot pink accents.
Day 6 of #mermay - Sweet Treat is the prompt.
I obviously missed the previous two, and #MayTheFourth.
Thank you! You might be right about the can.
Gonna post mermay and MaytheFourth drawings with a significant delay, because there's presidential elections here today and I'm currently following this subject intensely.
a mermaid and a punk singer, seen in closeup face to face. they are singing together with a hair spray can instead of a microphone. They both sport mohawks.
Mermay #3: Hair
Not very pleased with this one, might re-do it, or try a different idea altogether. Something feels off, but the concept is there.
#art #mermay
Ever since I started doing the #mermay drawings these days I’m feeling better about my coloring.
I kinda hated how I’ve been doing that in the past few years. But looking at these fast-paced challenge results I’m regaining some confidence about my art.
Initially I only considered the top half being covered/protected by space gear, but then a light bulb went off at some point.
Thank you! Yeah, I’m pretty proud of the Ahsoka one too.
What is the scientific explanation for my linework looking better when I work in Clip Studio than in Procreate?
It makes no goddamn sense. On procreate it should mimic drawing on paper more closely than CSP, where I use a 10 yo tablet (no screen). Is because of muscle memory? Habit?
