Yeah, I'm absolutely not running defense for Nintendo.

They have, do, and will continue to do shitty things.

But its super hypocritical that Sony/MS shit gets a fraction of the outrage (even for the exact same issues)-of which also lasts half as long as when directed at Nintendo.

I've had to fight the need to stay behind and clean up every zone lmao

But, honestly, pushing forward has made things less stressful in the long run by unlocking more abilities and materials to make things easier and have more variety.

Xbox is owned by MS that's funding/supporting wars and phasing out their entire console ecosystem while closing dozens of studios.

Sony is also closing studios while implementing dynamic pricing and yoinking PC release plans while releasing a PC-specific controller.

But, yeah, fuck Nintendo

I grew up on both Sony and Nintendo consoles almost exclusively (360 was the exception).

I have no favorites because they've both given me countless amounts of enjoyment.

Its not that people are hating on my favorite Billion-Dollar Company- its the hypocrisy & exclusion/ostracizing that bothers me

Also-

-Sony/MS/PC games were the first to do and normalize $70 games with little outrage, but Nintendo's $80 for literally 1 game had everyone up in arms.

Like, Nintendo does lots of shit that I hate, but I never see the same amount of "FUCK [COMPANY]" vitriol posts as I do for Nintendo.

I ranted about this earlier lol

-Sony DMCA'd multiple fan projects JUST for Bloodborne, but only Nintendo gets shit
-Sony/MS both raise prices of their OLD consoles w/o issue, Nintendo gets shit for higher priced NEW console.

Nintendo's PR of being "The Family Company" makes them the ez target

In fact, two weeks ago, we had a channel we work with get hit by a viewbot troll.

YouTube held THOUSANDS of dollars from them for invalid traffic.

Our YT contact said the only reason they didn't close their AdSense is bc is was a brief, one-time occurrence.

ALSO:
-Dead subs offer literally no benefit. High sub count, but no views. Cool.
-Viewbotting while monetized WILL get your AdSense shut down.
-Botting is SUPER easy to spot. I've been at this job for a decade, I can see it at a glance. Any prospective sponsor worth their salt will as well.

So I have, and frequently, also work with some of the biggest names on Twitch and YT...and no, viewbotting is NOT common AND these services are good at detecting it.

Yhey WILL throw you under the bus as soon as you become a liability. YT, in particular, constantly shuts down AdSense accts
