State and local legislation!! It's soooo much easier to make an impact at the local/regional level when you can literally walk up to your elected official at a town fair talk to them about your concerns.
Seriously, just invite your state rep or city councilor out for coffee.

Charlie Kirk's shoooter and his family don’t look like trans liberals to me. The shooters family is registered republicans, his father is a minister and former law enforcement, they have family members in the military. Oh and the shooters parents introduced him to weapons at an early age.

I've voted for Democrats in all but one election for almost two decades. I also vote in primaries and have directly spoken with state legislators plus my governor.
I can still expect better from those who claim to represent me.
It's not that hard to pass a purity test when the test is "please stop virtue signaling and actually push for things that most voters want like universal healthcare, not enabling the genocide in Gaza, and making sure the rich pay their taxes." Fulfilling the job description shouldn't be Sisyphian.
