The new action toolbar is finally in-game! Still some more fixes to do, and I want to implement favorites soon but it's really coming together!

Whew, finally back to work here! This time I'm updating how the toolbar looks and feels with a radical new change! Looking forward to posting a more polished version for y'alls!

This is looking so fun! Such a great detail to add!
The art for your game is so good so far!
This is looking great! Really liking the background art too!
At the end of the day, you can't make a game (except *maybe* a small one) with only AI. You're going to need to learn to code at some point to do something the AI can't/won't, or find someone else to do it for you unfortunately. Thankfully, getting started is easier than you may think, you got this!
I'm working by myself, less pressure that way. I'd recommend learning programming rather than using AI. It won't get you all the way and you'll need to know programming to fix its mistakes anyways. If you're working in Godot, take a look at GDQuest or Heartbeast for some good tutorials!
One big thing for me is just having a creative outlet. I work on this because it's a game I want to play myself, you know? I've been programming for almost 10 years now so yeah that's not been a problem I'd say!
I've been working on this for about one and a half years now, though its a side project atm so it's not like I'm putting in 40 hours a week or anything
Got some more movement mechanics implemented, namely climbing and jumping! You can now see the DC on the tiles too which is a nice QoL upgrade I'd say. Getting close to all the base action being finished!

@gimgurn.bsky.social , the artist who made the token art for the project, has a kickstarter page for their own Pathfinder module! Check it out here!
It has a ton of content ranging from player options, NPCs, creature, etc. Awesome stuff!

If you're planning on using GDScript anyways I would recommend diving in straight away!
My main critique is that it's hard to see the name of the game, especially on a small capsule like this. The character are could probably be spread out a little more too.
And now, exploration mode is actually playable! Still need to actually make some events, but you can transition to combat and once you're done it brings you back to the exploration mode!

Maybe you can add a toggle to the game to go between original and "bootleg" versions! Slay the Spire has a feature like that and its a lot of fun (you need to beat the game to unlock it I think though)
Not sure yet, but I'd love for it to support it! I'm more focused on getting the game working at all at the moment.
New exploration mode is in progress! This should be a big improvement to the more classic dungeon exploration. More impactful decision making, better multiplayer, easier to implement too! Looking forward to showing more off!

Wow it's been a month since my last update, I was away for a while, but nonethless here is the new equipment preview screen! New art pending of course, unless we're big fans of the stick man of course :)

There isn't any shading in the new version, maybe that's why? The line art is a lot better imo
Impressive! Any plans for the project? Art is super cute already!
Are there any features of C# you miss? Main one for me might be something interface-like.
What's the intent behind the raids? XP and loot? Pressure to get them to move faster?
Some new token art for the project made by the amazing @gimgurn.bsky.social!

Oh no: our fighter is getting completely wrecked by the new attack and damage animations! Also note some new particle effects when the tokens are moving around!

What the heck, this looks so good! Really digging the artstyle so far, and the combat looks tight! Looking forward to seeing more!
With an editor script! You can make your own control nodes and add them to the inspector, check out this documentation! docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tu...
A dropdown ui element that has all the usual Pathfinder 2e damage types in a list.
Made a quick plugin to allow myself to easily select damage types! This way I can just click on the type rather than load it in manually all the time! Got some nice attack polish coming up soon too!

Small update, but I've added tooltips to the weapon selection action! You can now quickly see the damage, range, and traits of the weapon you're about to strike with, which seems pretty important!

Been a while, but I had some time this week to chip away at the project! This time I've added an animation to show what you get on dice rolls so you don't always need to check the chat log!

The vfx looks great, super clear that's it's lit or not which is great.
May I ask what the burn dice does? I'm intrigued!
