This Friday, it was my honour to once again visit the Halton Regional Police Service to learn more about how artificial intelligence is being used to help keep our communities safer and more secure.

The Dinner Party is a highlight of International Women’s Day each year, raising support for SAVIS of Halton and Right To Learn Afghanistan.

It was an honour to attend yesterday evening and hear a keynote that was both inspiring and uplifting.

Grateful to hear Fallon Farinacci’s powerful story of strength and resilience, and to see a sold-out room supporting Halton’s only women’s shelter.

PDAC 2026 is in full force, and it was an honour to attend today’s signing of an MOU between Canada’s own AtkinsRéalis and Türkiye, alongside the Honourable Tim Hodgson, the Honourable Rob Oliphant, and the Honourable Alparslan Bayraktar, His Excellency Can Dizdar as well as industry leaders.

It is time to build strong partnerships and champion innovation; Canada’s new government is doing just that.

Canada has what the world needs, and the Ministers remarks spoke to our immense natural wealth and technical expertise that will not only help build Canada strong, but diversify our trade and strengthen our partnerships around the world.

PDAC 2026 is here!

Yesterday, I was honoured to help mark the start of PDAC 2026 at the President’s Reception, joining parliamentary colleagues including Minister Hodgson, international counterparts, and industry leaders as we connect on the future of mining, critical minerals, and growth.

A big thank you to CAGIS @girlsinscience, the facilitators, and volunteers for breaking barriers and building brighter pathways for girls and gender-diverse youth in STEM.

CAGIS Oakville turned science into something you can see, solve, and create. It was such a joy to join the workshop this past Saturday.

From cracking binary code mysteries, to making polarization art alongside @quantum_iqc, the girls brought curiosity and confidence to every station.

The festival is on for every weekend in March as well as the March Break week so don’t forget to check it out this gem in the heart of Oakville West.

Maple Syrup Festival is back!

Today at Bronte Creek Provincial Park, families and neighbours came out to celebrate the sweetest sign of spring; guided tours of Maple Lane, maple taffy and candy pours, wagon rides, farm animals, and plenty of maple treats to take home.

It was truly inspiring to see their curiosity and enthusiasm while watching their confidence grow by each activity. Thank you to the CAGIS team and volunteers for creating a welcoming space that helps the next generation of innovators thrive.
