Ty it does depend a bit on brand and stuff like how dry or dusty it is. I kept them in as long as 6-8 hours. You kinda need to put them in before makeup/paint but that means extra time with them

It's more open so there's a lot more range (for better and worse), but I think you can pretty well control what's in your feed rather than leaving it to "Discover". To me that's worth the tradeoff of not being barraged with commercial click-bait and unrelated crud I get on IG and FB even "filtered"
