The mutual aid fundraising has been enormous, but the needs continue, even as donations have slowed.

I know people are tapped out, but for anyone who still can, this incredibly sweet family needs help urgently as they try to appeal the detention of their husband/dad. We set the GFM up in a rush, so the harrowing details aren't all in there, but I can assure you that the need is urgent and real.
Once again I will point out that most deaths in early concentration camps occur from illness and poor conditions. But these deaths are not accidents; this is one of the intended outcomes of a concentration camp.

I got this today after paying a family’s back rent to stop an eviction that had been filed. I feel that weight in my bones, and I’m glad she gets to sleep tonight. No one should ever have to feel that fear.

Trump’s “Operation Metro Surge” was a militarized campaign of fear that treated immigrants as criminals and weaponized the federal government against U.S. citizens.
We need independent investigations, real accountability, and to abolish ICE.

Tomorrow we’re taking up Pause Evictions Save Lives, a policy that will temporarily extend pre-eviction notice from 30 to 60 days until August 31st. This will give residents more time to get resources and support so that families can stay together and we can keep people in their homes.

about 30 people were arrested at whipple this morning for unlawful assembly, and many first hand reports say hennepin county sheriff's office were escalating. people were arrested when they were retreating, and people were knocked down by law enforcement
