DOJ is trying to block an independent monitor for the Epstein files, arguing courts can’t enforce the Epstein Transparency Act and lawmakers lack standing. Their position amounts to no court can force the DOJ to release the records.

For those asking why DoJ waited until a Friday to oppose the Special Master request by Massie and Khanna, it’s because the judge told them 3 days ago to file it by Friday.
