Hi Dan I work in digital healthcare and collect examples of shite ux for presentations, would you mind if I used this (with credit)?
A slide from a presentation - โWhere we startedโ and โWhere we are nowโ
A slide from a presentation about test and learn work in Nottingham
A slide from a presentation: โSpoiler alert: Weโre still doing it and itโs making things better for childrenโ
A slide: โConditions we need leaders to create now, to enable Test Learn and Grow 1. Build governance that enables test and learn 2. Make space for people to lead the work whatever their level 3. Be visible in spaces where new ways of working are being tried 4. Invest in user research expertise 5. Encourage people who instinctively value this way of working to find each otherโ
Honestly, this Test & Learn event is joyful. There are so many examples of the real-life transformation of public institutions - quicker, more responsive, more human, more purpose-driven and fun to work in. e.g. these slides are from a brilliant example from Nottingham 1/n
Great post!
With thanks to @da.vebrig.gs for sharing this new postโฆ
โจ I spend lots of time talking about making things more 'service-oriented' โฆ this post updates some of that thinking. incl. what I wrote in Multiplied, based on work, opportunities and ideas I'm seeing in places like Health/NHS #servicedesign

Hugh Muir recalls the response of London Mayor Ken Livingstone to 7/7 from Singapore. I agree that, despite his flaws & failings at other times, that this was an important message

Another video of Senator Padillaโs violent arrest at DHS Sec Noemโs press conference in LA. You can see him thrown to the ground by FBI agents and handcuffed.
(video shared by Padillaโs staff with Elex Michaelson of Fox LA and posted on X)
In case you're wondering, authoritarians use this strategy of escalation to manufacture crisis, provoke outrage, then use the reaction to justify repression. Itโs not about restoring order, it's about creating a spectacle of chaos they can claim only they can control.
Nationalisation! :)
i mean sure but what am i meant to do with this information, โoh shit better cut down on my microplastic intakeโ
In this era, I think it's more useful to sort people by whether they participate in democratic discourse or disordered discourse, rather than left vs right.
Tremendous write-up of a great event. Thanks for sharing James.
