A boom-or-bust game industry is partially to blame, but a company not preparing any runway to pay employees for at least six months outside of an infamously capricious Tencent has to take some of the blame here.

anyway labour exploitation is labour exploitation. acting like thats gonna go away when AAA companies collapse is wilfully naive at best. only actual organzation can change things. if you're the owner of a studio of any size who wants real change put your money where your mouth is, make it a co-op

Despite relentless attacks, union representation hit a 16-year high in 2025. Nearly half a million more workers are covered by a union contract. Even as the Trump administration tried to weaken our rights, we kept organizing and building power.
The video game industry decided to discontinue their product, the video game, in exchange for trying to make Fortnites. They have in recent years found out this doesn't work, so they have pivoted from making Fortnites to making ????????????????? nothing I guess
