Some of the meanest lyrics I've ever written contrasted with a jazzy funky bassline, some beepy-boopy synths, some chuggy guitars, and a shotgun sample for a drum beat. Also, I used Autotune incorrectly on the last verse. My favorite FX to abuse.

So, I'm a tech nerd, especially gaming tech. But I have an Xbox One that started doing something I've never seen before. It's just randomly turning on. I thought maybe the home button on the controller was getting triggered somehow but I disconnected it and it still happens. I am stumped. It's weird
So, as far as I can tell, HDMI cables just manifest in my home from thin air. I have never once in my entire life bought an HDMI cable. But I have SO MANY. I truly have no idea where they come from. They just spawn in my house. There must be a way to monetize this.

It's a pretty simple idea. It's just a dumb box. It has no storage, no processing power, it can't identify your device or even transmit it's data packets. It's just a run-through and it is the only device visible on your network.
So, all of your devices are designed to send out packets of your data. I have invented a box that you can route all of your devices at home through and it will hide ALL of your internet traffic. All your ISP or the government will see is that one device. And it's incapable of logging anything.

Someone in congress, the FBI or the DOJ needs to just come out and reveal what's in the files. Leak it online, go on an interview tour, call a press conference, do SOMETHING. A ton of people know what's in there. Whoever leaks it will be a national hero. A legend. They'll be taught in history class.

I am going back to school. I've decided to get a degree in AI engineering. I know a lot of people hate on AI but I find it fascinating. And the low end of salaries for AI engineers is $80,000 a year. The high end is $150,000. And I've already been training my own models for a few years. I got this.
My music isn't a hobby or a career. It's therapy. It's a release valve. And it's a compulsion. Whether or not I publish it, I'm always making music. And I'm making it for me. Sometimes I release it into the wild. And if someone likes it, cool. If not, also cool. But that's not the motive.

This is a huuuuge departure from the usual TVD sound. It's like old school hardcore with that TVD weirdness rubbed all over it. This is a more raw recording than what will be on the album but I just dug this version. It feels more punk.

I am wrapping up recording on the 4th full length These Violent Delights album. I took my time on this one. It's been almost 3 years in the works. It's a very weird and experimental album. It's somehow both my weirdest and my most accessible album. I'm aiming to release it in January.
If you pick your 1000 people from a rich suburb in Vermont, you're gonna get a different result than if you get your 1000 people from rural Texas. All you have to do is move the location of any poll and the results will be completely different. That's not a reliable meter for anything.
I don't believe in polls. From a purely logical standpoint, they can't be correct. Most polls have a pool of around 1000 people. There are 8.2 billion people on the planet. The opinions of 1000 people cannot accurately reflect the opinions of 8.2 billion. When polls do predict, they just got lucky.
So, a lot of times I just sit in the studio and just have improvisational jams. That's what this whole EP was. These songs were all improvised and recorded in one take. Me pushing buttons and banging on things and just seeing what happens.

I was experimenting with using vocal effects on guitars and synths. I had the guitar running through a vocoder that was tied to a sample of tribal chanting. I then ran that through Autotune. And to my surprise, I ended up with this weird throat singing monk chant thingy. It's pretty neat.
So, as a result of a happy accident while screwing around with Autotune and vocoders one time, I made the absolute weirdest guitar riff ever produced. And I couldn't do it again if I tried. The weird chants/moans in the chorus are actually a guitar.
