I appreciate the folks who are picking up patterns! We are still far short of the goal, so please keep sharing!

the tension in this image is so high
i'm working on a project for my high school physics class and this is probably the first time in my life I actually managed to successfully predict the behaviour of an analog circuit
this may not be much, just a basic RL, but its still exciting
been playing in the snow for a week straight, i'm loving this
I made focaccia :3
i can't decide which one i like more omg
a street lamp highlighting heavy snowfall on an empty street
i missed this
so what happened: the design is mostly complete, but I do need to redesign the mounting brackets for the XY gantry. I also bought a Kobra 3 print head and I'm trying to learn Klipper
progress has been slow because of school and other stuff going on, but now I really am back
new year, new me
between this being a part of the new ToS (x.com/en/tos) and simply having no traction, I think I'm free to give up on twitter altogether.
Its been an AI infested hellhole of anger for years, you won't be missed
I welcome any advice or criticism. I have never even seen a CoreXY irl and this is the V1, specifically 3D printed because I expect flaws to show up and I need to quickly iterate. The parts will be made of PETG and maybe I'll remake them out of metal later, once everything is figured out
The printer was a Monoprice MP Mini Delta V2 or a Malyan M300 Mini Delta. It was designed as a beginner printer, so even brand new it wasn't that good
This image shows two Benchys, models used to quickly benchmark printers. The benchy on the right was made with my old Creality Ender 3 v1 immediately after I got it, so before any tuning and calibration. The one on the right is literally the worst benchy that most people have ever seen. The print didn't even finish and it's EXTREMELY jittery.
Here, I've laid out the only parts worth reusing from this printer: the linear bearings, rods, belts, extruder and 4 stepper motors.
This image shows a part from the new design. Since this design follows the CoreXY mechanism, I needed to add mounts for pulleys to reroute belts in a very specific way. These are the carriages that will be moving in the Y axis.
I guess its time to let y'all know about the 40$ printer saga
A while back I found this thing at a thrift store, spent a week trying to restore it and promptly found out why it was only 40$. After that I gave up, disassembled it and I'm now making a better version

I am now the proud owner of a free server rack

Well fellas, happy pride month!
GUH struggling to comprehend that work time is over and i genuinely need a break
