Agreed. Companies like NECA and Super7 will need to wait and see what's on Mattel's plans, and if that doesn't overlap with their lines, odds are that they'll get to extend their licenses.
My guess is that Mattel will go with a Origins-like line.

As someone who enjoys both, it's all relative. For me, Football doesn't need scoring as much as American Football to achieve that same tension and drama.
