That POS just up there spouting π©
The USA Olympic menβs hockey team allowing themselves to be trotted out at Trumpβs State of the Union right now is so gross and embarrassing and amoral.

I am one nowhere near the mind of everyone need to like the same rhing. I love conversations around taste when one can talk their taste in detail, that presents a learning opportunity.
Not interested in "criticism" from those who can't talk about their taste or opinion beyond a surface level.
Nah, not just at the whim. All for being critical, certainly still am myself.
Just not a fan criticism that comes from other places with other intentions
Def not saying treat it with ignorance. Def agree we should be able to see the roots and the evolution. Gotta give room for the new to build on that legacy
Do Star Trek fans need to think more practically about Starfleet Academyβs 800 year time jump?

Kicking off Black History Month with Episode 5... Well done ... Well done!
Feeling the same type of way.
Star Trek fans - just stay off the internet until you watch todayβs #StarfleetAcademy. Trust me.
Ep 4 of Starfleet Academy was black as hell at its core...
Ep 5 features 5 mins of what might be the blackest scene we've seen in Star Trek in such a low-key way since "Far Beyond The Stars"
"Hey Sis" ...
So... This.
As if Ep 5 didn't already make me miss my Dad enough...
God I just want to be able to call him and gush over this new Trek with him π
Episodes 4 & 5 of Starfleet Academy is one of the best back-to-back pairings across all Trek ...
Two MASTERCLASS examples of top tier Trek
Honorable mention: "[...] thats over 37 trillion individiuals. In all those life forms, there's only ever been one me."
In a reference rich episode, to have SAM reference Bones in Balance of Terror, is beautiful.
"[...] And in all of that... and perhaps more, only one of each of us." -Bones
Soooo many levels to this episode!
3) βDivine laws are simpler than human ones, which is why it takes a lifetime to understand them, only love can understand them, only love can interpret these words as they were meant to be interpretedβ
2) βAll those things you think he missed, he didn't, he was always there, he never left us. I can't prove it, but I know it's trueβ
Three standout quotes from this week's episode of Starfleet Academy
1) βif our choices determine who we are, what determines our choices? What we loveβ¦β
"Vox in Excelso"
One of the best written and best acted episodes of the #StarTrek on Paramount+ era, and the most substantive episode about Klingons since the 1990s
