I can see where you come from but my main argument with Israel as a nation-state is that it was a settler-colonial state, I get it was trauma after the Holocaust. I would even be fine with it if the Israeli government, would-be settlers and the IDF abided by the 1994 Oslo Accords.

That is a false dichotomy. We are certainly not fans of the Ayatollah, we just don't want an unpopular US-Israel backed Shah (which led to the revolution in the first place) and for the West to enter a Dubya Iraq style quagmire which will cost us all and benefit no-one except defense contractors.

I fully understand your concerns, I am quite a critic of Islam itself. But that's not to assume all Muslims are a monolith. What you're conceptualizing is prevented by secularity which is GUARANTEED by your Constitution. So this is just plain old blanket generalization.
