That is, uh, not great
That is, uh, not great
This is how you know the stock market has closed.
I did see a reply/quote somewhere down the line describing a twenty mile commute as uniquely American when this is a fairly normal thing here in the UK at least, particularly for people commuting into London, and I would imagine is common in towns near-ish a big city worldwide.
One thing I will never not find bizarre is how even this far into Trump's term the people who buy and sell stocks for a living just believe every word he says.
Massively boosting Russiaβs economic position.
You actually can dismiss it as part of the Labour movement because if you have Conservative views I might know of the political party for you!
UK 2 year gilt graph which is increasing sharply since 2nd March
Iβm never buying a house fr fr
Time for the fourth once in a lifetime financial crisis in twenty years!
US strategic goals are not the same as Israel's strategic goals, part 1
They are the same in a sense because US strategic goals are ????? and Israel's strategic goals are ?????
Itβs also, regardless of whether itβs appropriate, not really the tone you normally get from a BBC News article covering a major story.
Screenshot of the body text of a BBC News article: It's been more than a month since the mysterious disappearance of Nancy Guthrie captivated the nation, and yet, more questions than answers remain. In a case that feels ripped from a true-crime novel, the 84-year-old mother of US television presenter Savannah Guthrie is believed to have been "taken in the dark of night from her bed," her daughter said, after last being seen on 31 January. The shocking disappearance of the religious mother-of-three has turned her small suburb in Tucson, Arizona into a media circus and prompted more than 3,000 tips to police, tearful pleas from her famous daughter, cryptic ransom notes, Bitcoin demands and widespread speculation from online sleuths.
I may be too woke or maybe just over true crime but I feel like describing an ongoing high-profile disappearance as βripped from a true-crime novelβ is quite distasteful.
The Mayor of London has issued a statement about the Iran war and the UK government's position.
The energy crisis will still affect the UK quite badly - fuel prices are already up about 10p here and that will have a knock-on effect for the prices of everything else. But we might be one of only a handful of countries in the world where electricity generation is relatively unaffected.
Ed Miliband will be revered as a God by future generations for lifting the ban on onshore wind ahead of the biggest carbon-based energy crisis ever.
Pretty serious allegation here. "Witnesses told the BBC that the Israeli soldiers had arrived disguised in Lebanese military fatigues and used ambulances with signs of Hezbollah's Islamic Health Organization."

People keep talking about Trump's hat and yeah that's gauche but it's so much worse than that, the hat is one he himself sells on his website and Trump knew the pictures would be disseminated which means TRUMP IS USING THE DEATH OF AMERICAN SOLDIERS TO HAWK HIS SHITTY ASS MERCH.
I could see this happening in two ways. Either Trump continues his tirade against Britain and people become angry about American bombers being allowed to use UK bases while Trump is acting like this, or Starmer continues thinking Twitter is the centre ground and so moves us to more of a war footing
The UK right, like the rest of the international right, take their orders from Trump.
Given that Trump is acting like this Iβm still yet to be given a convincing answer to why weβre letting him use RAF Fairford.
Is 56 what they were saying before 67?
thank you computer. you are stupid
Tweet from @polymarket BREAKING: Saudi Arabia abandons plans for "the line" β a planned 170km long megacity... will be converting it into an Al data center instead.
I do not love that someone, somewhere dared to ask βwhat if there was a 170km long AI data centre?β
Truly the current administration make Liz Truss look like she knew what she was doing.
So let me get this straight ...
1. US bombs Iran
2. Oil price goes up a bit, benefitting Russia's petrostate
3. Russia gives Iran targeting info
4. Oil price shoots WAY up
5. US unsanctions Russian oil
I suppose this will potentially undo some of Trumpβs climate change damage?
I hope people remember in a few months time when things are really bad that Trump did this deliberately for no real reason.
so the world's energy mix looks like this. around 20%-25% of the world's oil (7%pt of total energy) and a third of the world's gas (another 7%pt) goes thru hormuz.
right now that's been zero'd out, and there's no clear path back. a sixth of the world's energy supply is just... gone.
he may be stupid
