The real problem is that the US is still a huge global war machine, so causing it financial instability would cause even more problems for the rest of the world.

So something to that degree happened when loudmouth kept on talking about taking Greenland. What the rest of the world can do (and should do) is to drop US treasuries. I'm pretty sure that was the threat that got him to back down on the Greenland rhetoric.

I think the trend is supposed to go the other way and get DOOM running on a human brain cell.
