There are plenty of valid reasons for the latter, including injury, reduced physical capacity, your role becoming redundant, or simply realising that you’re in the wrong field.

Two Nintendo Switch gaming devices, one above the other, with LED control pads. The Hollow Knight game is shown on the top Switch (with blue lighting) and the Hollow Knight: Silksong game is shown on the bottom Switch.

I derive far too much satisfaction from setting the colour of LED game controllers to match the game I’m playing. I love these controllers.

Hollow Knight is the best gaming experience that I have ever had, and I’ve been playing video games for around 40 years. The little things that make us happy.

I love that so much.
