You know who else is a petty tyrant who doesn't exactly love elections? Lukashenko. Guess its only a matter of time before Trump launches a special military operation in Belarus... Right? Right??? Why one but not another?
NO MORE WARS!!! TOO MUCH WINNING!!! THE PRO PEACE TICKET!!!
One livery for Intercity, London commuter, suburban and regional? How daft.
A great day for Melbourne with the opening of the Metro Tunnel. Been a long wait but the benefits over the coming decades will be amazing ππ
Look at him go π₯Ή
A Melbourne W5 class dropcentre tram in green and cream livery with three open doors in the centre section enclosed only by canvas blinds, heads away from us along a city street. The rear destination is displaying SPECIAL and a yellow supplementary board with the lettering NOT CARRYING PASSENGERS is hanging from the rear driver's cab. A large brick industrial building of brutalist design looms over the scene in the background with large lettering on it displaying THE AGE.
Today's historic pic: Melbourne W5 class tram no 759 on a non-passenger-carrying run in Spencer Street, Melbourne, August 31, 1983. This section of Spencer Street north of Lonsdale Street carried no regular passenger routes at that time. Tram 759 was converted to an SW5 in 1985.
Your dad when he takes photos on holiday:
an utterly fucked generative AI image of sydney harbour, with the opera house on an entire island, lots of random boats and an unconcinving sunset in the background
Wow check out this real picture of Sydney harbour that UTS used on their website trying to attract international students

Decent place to wake up.
BART BAG SPOTTED in Tokyo!!!!
Accidentally ordered a tomato beer last night. I assumed Red Star was a brand name... But nope it was a tomato beer. Won't make that mistake again.
Big fan of whatever's going on here
"No carparking at stadiums" poster in Kobe. Love it!
One of my faves too. An icon

Good morning gang
philipmallis.com/2025/01/14/w... FWIW, Philip Mallis recently wrote about this very topic.
I've been doing quite a few cross City FKN-NPT trips recently and it really irks me how unreliable the cross city component is. Third time in a week my "Frankston" train from footscray has terminated @ Flinders Street (with zero driver announcement I might add.) Real sloppy from MTM.
Need to spend more time on here given the gradual enshittification of twitter and the increasingly volatile political scene in the United States
New apartments by sunsetβοΈ
You know Im truly doing my best to avoid consuming and thinking about news coming out the USA at the moment. But the thing is, its not possible. Every corner you turn there's some story or comment on Trump/Musk/Ukraine etc. its unavoidable and I hate it. Our future is uncertain and it freaking sucks
Back before woke.
A photo of a blue asbestos shoveling competition. A bunch of shirtless guys are shoveling asbestos into barrels, there is big clouds of it everywhere and no one is wearing any respiratory equipment.
not a cell phone in sight, just men living in the moment.
That's an odd one
Rest In Piss
*guy who takes money from big fume*
No actually that's not true, fumes have heaps of #healing benefits!
Melton has been transformed by Jesus... Or has Jesus been transformed by Melton? Guess we'll never know.
Might be time to reconsider the trains we are purchasing from US factories. Thats an easy one to bring back to Canada.
