Brilliant, welcome to the chaos!
Oh! Thank you :D
We need your help!
Dirty Rectangles is putting together an informal list of every game made in Toronto from 2020 to 2026 as well as the general location of its development in the city for the purposes of a fun exhibition during Toronto Games Week.
Know a game? Tell us!

OH! I see myself on the second list, very cool thank you :)
Marvelous, thanks for the list!
@andyyywood.bsky.social and myself are Toronto based ( cofounders of @lithicent.bsky.social ), if there's room for 2 more!
One of my favorite ways to utilize the twist warp is to align it with the cross-fade frontier. This way the shape blend happens in the coiled up region, which looks super neat. :)
Keeper's morphs are authored as scene-graph or more specifically as a scene-tree, which is evaluated bottom-up. I wrote a “compiler” which turns the tree into a command list which can be executed on the GPU. The compiler does a fair amount of optimization (e.g. dead branch pruning) to minimize cost.
A screenshot from Double Fine's latest game, Keeper.
I genuinely believe that Keeper is one of the game's industry most excellent and exciting achievements of the decade. A seemingly un-pitchable game that stands strong on its core tenets of emotional connection and teaching the player to let go of preconceived game notions. I thoroughly enjoyed it
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."
Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Cover of the world according to mister Rogers by Fred rogers
Text from the book: The values we care about the deepest, and the movements within society that support those values, command our love. When those things that we care about so deeply become endangered, we become enraged. And what a healthy thing that is! Without it, we would never stand up and speak out for what we believe.
what would mister rogers do?
get enraged
seriously. his word choice. he gave us permission, said it's healthy:
It's ok, we've invented zip drives for this very problem!
Time well spent! This looks great!💀
Hey folks, haven't been very active here of late, but for good reasons!
I've been using all of my free time to focus on my game and get it to a stage where I could showcase it.
Here's an updated teaser, playable demo very soon!

Really weird to see people try to portray Bluesky as a radical website when you’ll scroll past about 10 straight posts about how great spaghetti is
Yea for sure, some key events could have icons or highlighted rows. Minor events could have icons too, though I'd say with neutral colours only to not stand out at all.
If it's not too difficult, maybe adding a new line above the seasons to cleanly separate "sections" or milestones of in the logs.
I enjoy event logs more than I should tbh.
Come for the hashtags, stay for the fancy Scaravan 66 clips.

The types of death are a variation on things like
- Which suspension breaks and by how much. This helps catch the road and force some flips or otherwise just look broken.
- Which tire to eject in a fireball, if any.
- Should it go airborn this time? How high?
- When is the final explosion?
When we kill enemies in Scaravan 66 we have different types of "death animations" that are relying on physics to do most of the fun stuff, like flips.

If you're asking the audience, the answer is definitely not D or A or C
Reworked the Burning Rubber upgrade from Scoville 🔥 in the latest demo update. It's much more useful now and feels a lot better.
I'm considering making it feel heavier with some screenshake or something?
