I've watched a few of Kantian lectures on YouTube. He was very down to earth.
Lol
#4 is the goal in my reading.
Looks peaceful. Something about nature.
Fascinating conversation. I ordered her book.
My thoughts exactly!
Nadler's bio is very impressive on 17th century Philosophy Even held the Spinoza chair at the University of Amsterdam. Thank you again.
Thank you.
My kind of title! Thanks.
Looking for book recommendations on Spinoza. #philsky #Spinoza #Philosophy
Right. That would be a guaranteed rebellion.
I dont have much of a problem with the govt employees. It's the elected officials who use our benefits (social security, disability, VA) and services (mail, etc) as a political tool.
The irony is that it's us, the tax payers, that put them in office AND pay them. When the government shuts down, they still pay themselves. Plus they gave themselves universal health care.
Now I see why I can't hear God's voice. I had the wrong phone number.
Don't forget to look both ways.
Good question! Not sure yet. Lol
Thank you!
My goal for 2025 is to write a philosophical novel. Thus, reading Kant and Fichte serves a dual purpose of intellectual enjoyment as well as helping with the writing. #philsky #philosophy #writing
I lived in Germany (then West) from 1978-80). Finished high school there at Frankfurt American High School. My dad is retired USAF. I hope to go back for a visit before im too old. #philsky #Germany #Philosophy
Just arrived. I never read Fichte in college. Just went from Kant to Hegel. In fact, I had a graduate seminar on Hegel as an undergrad. It meant a lot to me to be invited to that course by Dr. Stanley Riukas. Again, 38 years ago! #philsky #philosophy #Fichte
Thank you. I will be interested to learn of your journey as well.
I noticed the Dr. Longuenesse is a Kantian scholar so it's definitely on my list now. My plan is to read the CPR first since it's been so long since I even did a survey of him in college.
Thank you. I will take a look at it. It looks very interesting.
Thank you for the encouragement!
Beautiful!
And i thought Nebraska was cold when I lived there as a teenager!
