Haven't posted in a while, but I've submitted to the storm photo contest :) All of my photos are of a beautiful storm from August 4th, 2025 by Arriba, Colorado! Uh... Might post photos later here and/or on insta if I end up being less lazy....

LIterally! Those numbers make me think the northern lights will be dancing right above me but I go outside and there's not even a hint of it in the sky ๐ญ
Just wait until you upgrade to MK II eyeballs!
(Great photos btw :) )
Me when I forget to upload the pic
A dirt road takes up the entire bottom screen before shrinking rapidly into the distance. It is lined by small hills covered in green shrubbery. Each side of the road further down features fields of wheat and grass. Some trees are present in the distance. A large, dark downpour covers the horizon, appearing to blow out ragged clouds and concealing itself on the right. Above these low level clouds sit two layers of thick, stormy striations bubbling into the sky at the top.
Y'know that storm I saw back in June? I started editing the photos now lol #newx #wxsky
My first... Nebraska/Wyoming chase?
Hope you enjoy!
Of course the day I have to work long ๐
I too wish for a pet vortex in my house
Those were indeed clouds, and might I say, pretty cool ones
Oooh
Theoretically you exist... and perhaps, in that possibility, you witnessed a tornado. I think.
A screenshot of a radar scan showing a supercell with a severe storm warning. This warning is flagged possible for a tornado.
#cowx never chased mountain storms and not looking for a first time but this looks mean
You gave me a heart attack for a second lmao - I was like "IT'S THE 23RD ALREADY???"
So it WAS real
Thanks actually, that's nice to know! I totally get the feeling lol
Sooo super successful day
1. Biig supercell from Wyoming to Nebraska
2. Surprise skinny funnel from distance
3. Lightning from tornado possible supercell (no great bolts tho)
4. Behind on the cell that eventually tornadoed
AND NOBODY HAS A PICTURE OF THOSE TORNADOES?? Losing my mind
Forgot the alt text, sorry!!
SUPERCELL #newx
Large, wide sculpted supercell with green grassy foreground.
Beautiful supercell! #newx #wywx
Beautiful supercell! Phone pic #newx #wywx
Forgot to put #COwx
A foreground of green shrubbery lines the bottom, with ragged light clouds above, the two connected with a hazy, dusty tornado.
Sorry, I've been busy! Here's a picture from the first tornado on 5/23/24 by Merino, Colorado! Shot through a car window, of course. (It's all I've worked on so far lol)
I'll edit these photos tmr lol, hopin' to feel more broadly positive about this chase tomorrow since I made a few bad decisions
I have some structure shots though, and two diff tornadoes! We were close enough to see lofted debris on one haha
I'll post those when I edit them :) Have a good night yall
Absolutely insane
Amazing!!!
Beautiful!!!
Heck yeah! We were south of this thing lol, so it was just a faint yet prominent dusty element
Though despite how... Meh... My photos are, it still was an amazing chase and definitely one for lessons haha
While YOU all got to see the pHoToGeNiC tornado down by Akron, I got wayyy to close to the tornado north of Brush for a decent photo >:)
How does autocorrect make grammar worse
Saw the tornado and was a little to close, didn't get any good photos sadly
