A cute style digital drawing of a small cartoon cow in front of a whin bush. There's a blue sky with simple white clouds, a pink heart floating to the top left of the cow, and it says 'baby whin' along the bottom in the same yellow as the whin bush flowers.

Been coaching Joe through SNES Harvest Moon recently. It's going very well.

Sketchbook page, cropped so it's a wide aspect ratio. Pink pen says in capital letters across the top: ABANDONMENT IS INEVITABLE. In small black letters under "have you tried", then in green pen: "COPING using PRESENCE & GRATITUDE?". There is a face-on person on the left hand side in green pen looking askance to the right, where there in a person in pink pen in 3/4 profile, looking to the left. Both seem to be in a moment of mistrust, but perhaps about to bridge the gap.

sometimes my sketchbook pages can make me laugh and remind me to catch myself on (in a good way)

A6 pencil drawing of myself, a short white person with dark hair and glasses. I'm wearing a long jumper, hands are hidden in the length of the sleeves. A shirt and a skirt underneath. Tights, socks, brogues. A backpack on my back. Hopefully the posture I've drawn conveys that the bag is fairly heavy. My eyes are closed, head titled to the side. I'm a bit tired but fairly peaceful looking. You can see my real life thumb and finger holding the sketchbook in the bottom of the pic.

A little airport drawing of myself from yesterday. I'm down home for a few days. Presently enjoying the sound of rain from the shelter of my old bedroom.

Here's some from @hmileeds.bsky.social 's event with David Johnson and Emilie Louise Gossiaux, talking about their work in the Beyond the Visual exhibition

An A5 ish page of sketches. Along the top there is a baseball cap, someone with dark pigtails daydreaming about a smaller person with light pigtails, a larger head looking wistfully to their right, a cartoon of myself thinking "it was fun" and hearts and stars coming out of me while another bit of text says "I am tired of shaking so much", and there is a bird, maybe a pigeon, in a nest above me. Next there is a slightly drunk looking person with a big jumper with a skull on the front, wearing a scarf with lots of hearts. I have drawn a shape and and arrow pointing to it to say "this shape" because I was thinking that a lot of my drawings are tending towards this shape lately, like a wide but short big stone or rock. There is a crow and a person with crosshatched hair. Then finally the notes from the artist talk begin, though there aren't many notes, mostly I spent time trying to draw the artists' likenesses. David Johnson sits with his hands wrapped round his left knee, fingers interlaced. It says "INNER VISION" above his right shoulder, with kind of zaps coming out of it. A speech bubble comes from him saying "I like objects" and another says "shaped by debate, discussion and the occasional disagreement". Underneath him it says "afantasia? Aphantasia? Hyperfantasia? " and a reminder to myself to look up the sensational museum. Then "docent?" cos I didn't know that word either. A drawing of Emilie Louise Gossiaux's head and shoulders, viewed from the side. A speech bubble from her reads "I love smelling an artwork. But the Henry Moore piece, it's meta scent was so strong I could taste it in my mouth and it stayed with me throughout my visit". Underneath it says "I like to understand where the artist's hand was" and above "something about touch replicates the creative process". In the middle of these is a drawing of the mediator whose name I didn't note down, and he is saying "challenging ocular centrism". A note by gossiaux: acrylic = plastic, oil: more like skin

I've been to a couple of really great inspiring talks recently, trying to remember how to draw and take notes again after not having done it for so long.

A digital pencil sketch of a sitting St Bernard dog in a fairly realistic style, with a small more cartoonish bird sat on its head. A musical note is in a speech bubble coming from the bird, and a heart shape is floating to the left of the dog’s head

Three overlaid blue digital pencil sketches of a small child from the early nineties. The one on the right is petting a puppy, the one in the middle is in school uniform and holding a thumb up in front of their face, the one on the left is wearing one of those big sweet hats of the time, with a big bow on the band, and leaning over to the right.

Been trying to use my ipad for sketching more these days. I love being able to layer the drawings, but am less keen on being able to erase my lines. Layered Hannahs from sunny days

Breaking: on two counts, the High Court has ruled that the Labour government's proscription of the campaign group Palestine Action was unlawful – a win for its co-founder Huda Ammori, who sought a judicial review of the ban

A six panel comic with varying sizes of panel. The first is a speech bubble saying "I know a place" with some sparkles and a heart, against a stripey background. The next is a drawing of a red kite in the sky (bird of prey) viewed from below. The third has a close up of some variegated holly leaves, and a speech bubble saying "I miss this variegated holly". The fourth shows four small figures entering a woods, with one figure pointing to the right, and a banner style arrow coming from them pointing to the right side of the panel, up through a path in the woods. The next panel isn't bound by a box, and shows a very small pond. The speech bubbles read: "Ugh, why've they cut it so far back??... There was so much here". There are rings circling the location of two clumps of rushes at the side of the pond and a word balloon reads "two little clumps!". A speech bubble at the side says "never to mind". The final panel sits on top of the previous one, and shows a woman crouching low to the clump of rushes, she also has some scissors in hand and a few rushes too. A free floating word, "gently", is above her. The speech bubbles read "We'll just take a small amount... Leave plenty for others & the bugs". A final speech bubble at the bottom of the page says "That was a bit like a pilgrimage <3"

I’m sharing this video again because people don’t really get what these data centers and ai are doing to our planet and our communities. Especially Black communities because they were strategically placed there.

I need you to listen to these people.
