I really REALLY dont want 2000s nostalgia to become as obnoxious as 80s nostalgia we didn't even plague Hollywood or gaming culture for years or nothin.

Doesn't matter if then was objectively better. Ignoring the full picture and some of the icky bits of the 2000s gives you an incomplete farce of what the decade actually was, leading to this image as well as the oversaturation and flanderization of frutiger aero.

The issue right now is that the current era seems so astronomically worse than before (and i agree) that people are gluing rose-tinted glasses to their faces.
