New episode out now reacting the World Cup fixtures, the many bilateral series happening around the world as well as some of the latest news in womenβs cricket

Great to hear from Odedra in this piece.
I am a bit puzzled as to why everyone seems so puzzled by the lack of South Asian representation in women's cricket, though. Women in sport are subject to racism too.
Combine that with sexism (in a little thing known as intersectionality), and here we are.
Very grateful Mikhail Shaidorov is the Olympic champion & gets skate in the iconic panda costume on the world stage in easily the most ridiculous but entertaining performance of the gala π€£
No gold medalist quite like Misha!

Isabel was great fun to chat to! If youβre looking to hear more about any of the European teams that have qualified, weβve got plenty of episodes from over the years π³π±
Agreed, theyβve added so much to the broadcast. So supportive of the athletes, great at explaining etc without being condescending
The camaraderie in this Womenβs Big Air Final is so beautiful to watch.
Many amazing storylines so far in this Olympics, the genuine support & appreciation for each otherβs quality is so cool to see

Delighted to see the Netherlands qualify for the World Cup this summer π³π±π
Itβs no secret that weβve been very keen for them to qualify after seeing them at the European qualifiers this summer π€£
Netherlands women's captain Babette de Leede:
"We're one of the few countries with no contracts at all. We're an Associate country, where cricket is very small, but we made sure that everyone bought into this dream, and our dream has come true"

See you in 2026!
Having two Lionesses nominated for #BBCSPOTY was sadly always going to split the vote so itβs not a huge surprise neither Hannah Hampton or Chloe Kelly are not in the top three
Make sure to vote tonight for Davina Perrin who is nominated for the 2025 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year π

It was a pleasure to speak to Davina Perrin, who is nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award this evening, about dealing with expectation, being an inspiration and that century in The Hundred Eliminator.
