Tahl is a 650-page poem, published in 1945, about a heroic aviator and composer. Alfred A. Knopf called it "one of the most extraordinary literary achievements of our era," and surely lost a bundle publishing it. Its author, Jeremy Ingalls (she/her) then turned her energies to translating Chinese.
