For me, I read the books when I was young, and it's certainly how I took it at the time. I can't say for sure that my family took it the same way.

Beyond that, I'd probably say that the books are aspirational fantasy of how evangelicals would like for the end times to go.

I grew up in that environment. We treated those books like literal interpretations of prophecy. It was Definitely How It Will Happen.

The "Left Behind" series of books "educated" a lot of evangelicals into this kind of thinking.

I found that doing regular squats, pushups, and crunches gave me a lot more energy by making my breathing more productive. It doesn't take much. :)

Ya know, I tend to think of Pran as my "chosen" name. It's not some furry name or my sona's name. It's as real a name as my "given" name or "family" name, just that it's the one that I chose.

I think that's neat. :)

Depends. A long time ago when I was sitting in an empty church waiting for god to show up, I could see flickering at the edges of my vision. I was zoning out really hard and I think my eyes were just sorta... I dunno. Hard to describe.

Huh! Neat! Yeah, I always figured that this was just a normal thing I guess. Never occurred to me to think of it as unusual.

Sometimes those waves get super distracting when I'm trying to fall asleep. XD They're not always so glaring.

Oh you get the weird expanding and contracting waves of color when you close your eyes too? I didn't know that this was weird!
