well, i found the answer; the official US OST releases for Mario 64 have the song labeled as "Dire, Dire Docks" in the tracklist. in the JP releases, the song is just labeled "ウォーターランド," or "Waterland," the Japanese name for Dire, Dire, Docks.

i like ambient music and think BoTW's OST is pretty good and vastly overhated by zelda fans. p4's soundtrack is mid though imo, not texturally varied enough and some of the instrumentation choices are... weird

could always just use topsters.org and make a larger list like i did. 9 is pretty limiting

I started w/ 1, & I'd go 3-1-2-4, though I think the OG trilogy is pretty close in quality w/ tradeoffs. For me they haven't yet found the formula to make cave exploration as enticing as time-based overworlds, & I think 4 lacked 2's eccentricity that made the formula work better there, unfortunately
