This is a disgusting way to treat a Marine vet who should be allowed to voice his opinion, especially as he is prepared to risk his life for his country, which our current politicians are most definitely not, judging from the current president. Whatever happened to democracy?

GOP Sen. Tim Sheehy "assisted" Capitol police in forceful removal of Brian McGinnis.

During 'removal' McGinnis ended up with a broken arm.

Sheehy’s unhinged; he should be charged for assaulting a peaceful decorated Marine vet who was exercising his 1st amendment rights. He has no place in Senate!

Let's hope that other planets will take over in our solar system or, at the very least, in our universe. As a fan of Brian Cox, I remember watching one series about the universe. If I got it right, our universe is far from alone & there is an infinite number of them, which a consolation. :)

Very sad! And we are responsible for a lot of it. Mind you, the ones I do worry about right now are children & the younger generations. I was very lucky to be born at a much happier time when we had a lot more freedom & choices. It is a much more uncertain future for the new generations. :(

As for the current war started by Donald Trump & his ilk, should it turn into WW3, it will destroy our environment even sooner. Having such a mad, demented president at a very dangerous period for our planet, is really bad timing. Let's hope sanity eventually wins! 🤔🤨

The earth will survive, as it has survived several mass extinctions before, such as the one that killed off dinosaurs. But all current life, including us, is unlikely to make it. I gather AI, with its great need for water, will only accelerate our demise. :(

The way we are going suggests we are running out of time & are unlikely to survive another couple of centuries, unless we make radical changes. Time for me to check on Elliott Jacobson who is a mine of information on climate change. I gather from him we are heading for a mass extinction. :(
