Update: it’s fine. Extremely intense amount of TTPD—bc the two year old only likes that taylor swift album and Daniel Tiger songs and screams at everything else— has overtaken everything, including chipmunks.
I’m really really scared of my Spotify wrapped bc my 6 yr old got obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks this cursed year.

I am most grateful for curiosity. It’s what serves me best in writing, in parenting, in friendship, in all of it. Curiosity and also the seemingly infinite supply of Love Island seasons.
I learn a lot about myself in the period of time that occasionally occurs between library holds.
I love this, my author heart always wants the love of a reader to be Enough (whatever that means??) and this little fact bolsters that belief.
Is there any feeling better than being deep into the writing of a novel that no one is waiting for but your own self?
Having spent 15ish years centering adolescence in my work, I think there’s a real connection between YA/MG and midlife, and I want similarly diverse, specific, joyful, honest, imperfect, exciting, meaningful stories in both spaces. Maybe even in conversation with each other??
