Adorable pink printer (approx 4" x 5" x 2") from which a tiny Polaroid-type pic is emerging, while other printed pics lay beside it
Got this supercool tiny printer today! Set my 2026 creative goals last week and visual art is on the menu. (Moving slowly of course.) Stay tuned... π€
I believe deeply in the radical and transformative power of music.
So this post broke containment and lost a little of the context when it did but Bikini Kill are the ones donating to TCP, not Bandcamp. We generally choose a different org or mutual aid fund to support on Bandcamp Fridays and this is what we chose this month.
Breaking: New York AG Letitia James has opened an investigation in the death of Nurul Amin Shah Alam, the blind Rohingya refugee found dead in Buffalo last week.
In a letter obtained by IPost, James indicates the Sheriff's Office is an initial target:

That Mayor Frey not only hasn't championed this, but stated he might veto it is despicable.
He should get as much, if not more national attention, for abandoning the people of Mpls as he did for merely cussing about ice
Ummm... Excuse me, can I help you find something?
I met with Juanita + her daughter Emely (who filmed the encounter) after the arrest became part of a court case that won a major victory for immigrantsβ rights in Oregon. A judge ordered ICE to end warrantless arrests, saying officers had been βbrutal and violentβ + widely violated people's rights.

Don't know what this means but I'm encouraged lol
I used to fall asleep to harrowing wilderness survival stories, but now I'm hooked on Hugh Bonneville reading Sherlock Holmes
Yes and I hate it
Can't open the contract but would love to help end this harmful racket
Amazing! There's at least one I can walk to. Thanks again

A pattern made of line drawings of vintage radios.
I'm happy to share a new project βΒ The Golden Age of Community Radio. It's a directory of awe-inspiring stations across the world that I discovered while promoting an album last year. It's also a resource for other musicians wanting to find new places to send their music. radio.surfacepressure.net
I profiled Jason Chavez, the Minneapolis city council member who has been embedded in community efforts to combat ICE.
βTo leave your constituents to face off with a racist fascist regime on their own, without having someone that has some powerβ¦I could not let my constituents be out there alone.β
Oh thank you! Gonna look for those bins. I'm carless in Portland and have sharps containers stacking up under my sink π¬
I have 2 last rent portions to get over the finish line tonight.
I have a $300 need and then I have $275 left on a larger need.
Today is the last day of the grace period for rents being paid on time and I really would like to get these two finished.
Can you chip in?
Bernard LaFayette, the advance man who did the risky groundwork for the voter registration campaign in Selma, Alabama, that culminated in the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, has died.
Tell me about the piece of art you created that you're most proud of
Japanβs seasons can be divided into seventy-two sub-seasons. This concept originated in China, and I really love the idea that the seasons move through such subtle, almost imperceptible changes. It reminds me that someoneβs music, or how we feel on any given day, can still matter in the world.
Wow! I love this! Was musing about the idea of micro seasons just yesterday.
In Portland, our crow roosting season is ending and I swear I heard crickets at dusk twice this week!
That is between me and my shadow.
Having, in the end, five versions of the song over the course of a year and some months is a great way to understand how there are never sole versions of a song as such, just the moment in time and the tools and approaches to hand then to fix said moment in sonic amber. Things can always change.
