One of my favorite discoveries of this year has been seeing Ken Russell's The Boy Friend (1971). Experiencing movies for the first time is great, but some films feel special. As though you were meant to find them. It's charming, funny, dreamy, and visually gorgeous. Has stayed in my mind since.

There could be a rumor I'm dead and I wouldn't know. That thought is more gratifying to me than the potential to reconnect.
There's a difference.

Chaos and madness reign after the storm and so my fieldwork has been cancelled for the day.
Now I get to take myself to breakfast. With 80s era bleak Americana on the side.
